Found the new post spot now!

Hello again
I'm Margaret - John's mum. John is probably groaning at my inadequacy here!
Linds is the best daughter-in-law anyone could wish for.

Here's the belly

Exciting!

Hello everyone! I'm excited to be here with Linds. She looks so beautiful!!!!! Her belly is perfect. The first time I met Linds, I took her to the Whole Earth Cafe at UCSC when she was considering coming to graduate school with Erik. She did and we shared our graduate career together. She was at my baby shower with my daughter Elena and I'm so excited to be here with her. I'm currently doing her bidding, making tea, cleaning, and bringing treats.

First Game

Everyone should have received a box of favors from Lisé - which contained a bath salts and soap wrapped in a cute little wash cloth diaper.

One of us has a 'poopy' diaper - if you want to unwrap your favors and take a peek. Post a picture if you have the winner! I hope it wasn't a blowout!

Whoever received the 'poopy' diaper gets a gift!

Good Luck!

Intro

I'm Saavik and I met Lindsey at Carnegie in 2003 or so, when she and John were the only sane people working there (sadly that may still be true...). She is my hero mom, for always answering all of my parenting questions with detailed, non-judgemental answers, and for finishing a PhD while parenting a small child... :)

Hi, I'm Nina...

... and I met Linds 3 years ago (almost 4!) when we first moved to Maryland. John was my husband's boss. I miss sharing stories during our astro playdates!

And here's a pic of me (please excuse the messy office behind me):

Linds & Erin checking in

I'm here

Aha, I think I figured out how to do this! Will is finally down for a nap, so I should actually get to sit and chill!

I'm Amanda

I am the sister-in-law. I have known Linds since 1997 when I started dating Dylan! 12 years later - here we are!

It has been wonderful to have boys the same age to bounce questions off each other, and make sure what these little hooligans are doing is normal. I am excited to meet Ceinwyn and watch her grow!
I'm Lise (with the flowers in a previous post). I met Lindsey in grad. school at Santa Cruz and we became fast friends. I'm still so honored to have her as a dear friend in my life! I think I've met most of you, too!

Hi, I'm Kendra....

...am in the pink shirt in the photo below....

I've known Linds since we were in preschool, and I've known John practically since Linds found him.

Am listening to the lullabies now---they're great! My son Evan LOVES them!

Ready to rock n Roll!

Hi all - so

England calling!

Hello I'm here but shall be going out soon - what a shame! I'm so sorry to be missing all the fun but I hope it's a great party &I shall enjoy reading all teh messages when I get back.
Have a great time & please forgive me for double booking.
I gave my details to Auntie Di so she may look in too but I know they are up to their eyes in harvest etc at the moment.
Lots of love to you all
Margaret

GFHS - Idaho, lonely lost German High School student

Hi, my name is Valerie and I met Lindsey when I arrived in Glenns Ferry High School in 1994. I don't know how I would have survived ranch life without our GFHS bunch and nerd bowl!!! Glenns Ferry isn't somehow near LA, a city every German exchange student wanted to live in back then. And I met John one day before Linds and he got married.

Welcome to Lindsey's Baby Shower

It is noon in Idaho - I guess that means it is time to start this party!

Since we have people from all over the world, who may or may not know each other - please introduce yourselves and tell us how you know John and Linds! If you have a picture to post, that is wonderful too!

Also - if you haven't already - please go to their expectnet website and enter your guesses for the baby's arrival, weight, length, etc. We all know it is going to be a sweet baby girl!

Oops, picture!!!

Almost forgot all about it: ugly office, but funny people!!!

Ready to Go in Seattle!

All set here, albeit with some festive flowers instead of balloons! (They were lost in the moving chaos)

Ready to launch in Lyon!!!

Here I am

It's almost 8 pm in Germany - ready to go!

We're ready for the Shower!

Aidan is having a picnic in the garage and I am ready at the computer desk! So glad everyone is joining in the fun!

All set in Chicago!

Hi Everyone: Just a quick shot of my computer, ready for the shower, here in (still warm, thankfully) Chicago. Can't wait!

Nina

Grannie Laurie & Aunt Marta are standing by.......

Grannie Laurie and Aunt Marta are using the same computer for the blog, and we'll be taking turns at the other computer for Skyping (is that a word?).  Lindsey needs to turn Skype on at her end!  We're almost ready!

Decorating with a 3 year old....

...goes something like this:

5 balloons: 2 popped, 1 currently being thrown vigorously around the room and is no doubt soon to pop. And, here's the culprit, posing for an apt photo this morning:
Hello I'm still trying to figure this out. Please forgive my lack of IT skills!
Hello I'm here at last but very unsure about this process so bear with me please!

It's so good to "see" everyone here! I can't wait until Saturday. It'll be a blast!

Belly & munchkin pics

I'll try to get some better ones later, but here's a comparison between what my belly used to look like and what it looked like last week:

And, here's the munchkin (taken in early June, at ~20 weeks):

So excited for Saturday!!!! Wahoo! See you all then...

Hi from Maryland!

Hooray! We're online and functioning! :) Thought I'd do a practice post here. But, also wanted to thank everyone for wanting to be involved in this. It's so nice to have a little celebration like this with all the important ladies in my life. Looking forward to "seeing" you all on Saturday!

It's getting closer . . . .!

(HI VAL- who would have thought we'd meet from accross the world via Lindsey's baby shower!)
I'm starting to feel a bit panicked over trying to fly to Lindsey's at the right time for Cienwyn's birth!  I really think she's going to come early, but I'm afraid if I book plane tickets for too early, I'll have to go home before she gets there.  The airlines should have open-ended tickets for grannies!
